About

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Manual QA Engineer with strong expertise in manual testing, SQL, and a proven track record in large-scale enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality through hands-on testing and close collaboration with development and product teams. While manual testing is the core of the role, experience or familiarity with automation (Selenium + Java) is a valuable asset.



Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive manual test cases for enterprise-grade web applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing to validate features end-to-end.
• Write and run complex SQL queries to validate backend data, including joins, aggregations, and subqueries.
• Test enterprise systems with high data volumes, complex workflows, and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Log and track defects in tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
• Work closely with developers, QA peers, and product managers to refine requirements and build test strategies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support the QA automation process when appropriate using Selenium Web Driver with Java.
• Mentor or provide guidance to junior QA team members when necessary.

• 5+ years of experience in manual QA testing within enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong command of SQL, including query optimization and performance analysis.
• Background in enterprise domains such as finance, healthcare, insurance, or B2B platforms.
• Experience working on platforms used by thousands of users.
• In-depth understanding of QA best practices, test planning, and defect lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Selenium and Java (even if not in a lead automation role).
• Hands-on with test management tools like Test Rail, Zephyr, and JIRA.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and own testing deliverables in an Agile environment.

• Hands-on experience writing or maintaining automated tests using Selenium Web Driver with Java.
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman.
• Exposure to CI/CD environments using tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or similar.
• Prior experience in public sector applications or HRMS platforms is a plus.
