Sales Engineer

A growing technology company focused on improving software development practices is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support customer evaluations and technical adoption of its platform. The product helps engineering teams improve code quality, security, and development workflows across modern software environments.

The ideal candidate has experience in software development or Dev Ops environments and enjoys translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling demonstrations for technical and non-technical audiences.

Location: Hybrid role based in Austin
, with a mix of in-office collaboration and remote work during the week.

• Support the technical aspects of pre-sales opportunities by delivering product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept guidance
• Help prospective customers understand how the platform integrates into their software development lifecycle and CI/CD workflows
• Advise customers on deployment strategies across on-premises and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during product evaluations
• Work closely with account teams to support successful technical outcomes during the sales process
• Partner with customer success and support teams to ensure successful product adoption after purchase
• Provide feedback from customer interactions to product and engineering teams
• Enable partners and internal stakeholders through technical knowledge sharing and training

• 5+ years of experience in software development, Dev Ops engineering, or a related technical role
• Experience working with modern development and deployment environments
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
• Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud infrastructure
• Experience delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, or workshops
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly
• Strong collaboration skills when working across technical and business teams

Experience with several of the following technologies:

• Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Linux and Windows environments
• Source control platforms and CI/CD tools
• Software development practices and code quality workflows

• Experience supporting customers in technical evaluation or pre-sales environments
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Passion for improving developer productivity and software quality
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
