Technology Director – Home Affairs & Justice Consulting

Location: UK - London, Manchester, Bristol or Birmingham (Hybrid – office, client site, and home working)

Overview

A leading global consulting organisation is seeking an experienced Technology Director to join its growing Home Affairs and Justice consulting practice
. This role focuses on supporting major UK public sector organisations including policing, law enforcement, and justice bodies as they undertake large-scale digital and technology transformation.

Organisations across the Home Affairs landscape are modernising legacy systems, improving digital services, and implementing complex technology platforms to meet evolving operational demands. This role will play a key part in shaping, selling, and delivering large-scale technology-enabled transformation programmes across the sector.

The successful candidate will combine strong client engagement and sales capability with deep technical and transformation expertise, working closely with senior stakeholders to design and implement solutions that deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of technology-enabled transformation opportunities within the UK public sector, particularly across Home Affairs and Justice organisations.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships across government clients, identifying opportunities to support strategic transformation programmes.
  • Work alongside partners and senior leaders to shape innovative technology solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Lead the sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification and solution shaping through to successful delivery.
  • Provide strategic technology advice to senior stakeholders, including executive-level decision makers.
  • Architect complex transformation programmes that leverage modern digital and enterprise technologies.
  • Navigate evolving technology landscapes within government organisations, identifying opportunities to drive value and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external delivery partners to deliver large-scale transformation programmes.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Demonstrated experience selling and delivering complex technology transformation programmes within the public sector.
  • Strong network and experience working with Home Affairs or Justice organisations such as policing, law enforcement, or justice agencies.
  • Proven ability to develop and close consulting opportunities, managing complex sales cycles.
  • Experience advising senior executives and leadership teams on large-scale digital and technology transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of modern technology platforms and enterprise architectures, including areas such as:
  • Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Artificial Intelligence and Automation (AI, RPA)
  • Integration and architecture technologies (APIs, containers, microservices)
  • Understanding of technology strategy, digital transformation, and cloud-based enterprise implementations.
  • Experience delivering services across areas such as:
  • Technology strategy and operating models
  • IT transformation and service management
  • Cloud transformation and enterprise architecture
  • Technology-enabled business change
  • Ability to build strong relationships with delivery partners and technology vendors involved in large-scale programmes.
  • Strong understanding of the broader technology ecosystem and supplier landscape within the UK public sector.
