Data Governance, Information / Records Mgnt Specialist

Working with a Toronto area MS partner, IT consulting and services firm.

Work on a large DG/IM project for an Ontario professional licensing and regulatory organization.

Contract role. Mostly remote work, WFH, with 1/month client and or team meeting in central Toronto. 3 months to start, expect 12 month project. Target rate range: $80-100hr B2b.

Principal responsibilities include developing policy, standards and process for data governance and information management, focusing on tactical implementation. May also participate in Data Strategy with other team members.

• Senior level experience with records mgnt / data governance / information management – develop policy, standards and process.
• 8 years experience in larger scale data governance / information management projects.
• Work with senior client executive to establish policy, standards and process for data quality/integrity, data lineage, data security, data privacy, regulatory and compliance reporting and executive KPIs.
• Advanced knowledge of all aspects of managing the data lifecycle.
• Experience with popular data store platforms:
  SharePoint, MDM, RDBMS and cloud solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint/M365.
• Relevant certifications in Data Governance, Information Mgnt or Records Management (e.g., ADGP, PACC, CRM, CRA, CIP, IGP).
• Knowledge of Legal side of Data Governance / Data Management / Records Management would be helpful.
• Experience with public sector/government implementations of similar size/scope would be helpful.
