Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in data operations, annotation management, or business analysis in a technical setting.
  • Proven commitment to previous employers.
  • Strong grasp of data structures, ontologies, and annotation workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and data prerequisites for model training.
  • Experience collaborating with external vendors and leading cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in software such as Excel, SQL, and project management tools.
  • Experience with computer vision or ML‑driven products is preferred.
  • Knowledge of annotation tools and platforms (e.g., Dataloop, Hasty, Scale.ai, Deeplake) is a plus.
  • Acquainted with workflow orchestration and automation applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert technical requirements into actionable operational strategies.
  • Demonstrated capability to scale processes and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the complete Data Annotation Lifecycle, managing all internal and third‑party annotation initiatives from requirements gathering to final data delivery.
  • Define clear ontologies and standards by collaborating with product and engineering teams to convert model requirements into scalable annotation frameworks.
  • Initiate and execute annotation projects by sampling data, drafting comprehensive guidelines, and ensuring annotations meet quality through rigorous QA processes.
  • Manage vendors and internal teams to guarantee project execution is timely, accurate, and cost-effective.
  • Work alongside ML engineers to validate and integrate annotated data, continuously refining for improvement.
  • Enhance processes by developing workflows, tools, and best practices for large‑scale annotation, utilizing automation where feasible.
  • Contribute strategically by influencing Matterports data strategy and aiding in the development of top‑tier AI models for spatial computing.
