NOC Technician

Overview

We are seeking a NOC Technician I to assist the Network Operations team. The Network Operations team monitors and maintains all of the division assets supporting the frontline representation in the field and strategic programs. Day to day you will provide surveillance and incident management support, including communicating and escalating alarms to ensure quick resolution. As a NOC Technician I you will drive success with external customers through a sense of urgency, prioritization, and independent judgment in gathering and organizing relevant information.

• 8 am–5 pm with flexibility to work another shift if needed.

• 1–3 years of customer‑service experience, ideally in a heavy call‑center environment, handling inbound calls at a fast pace.
• Experience working in a centralized repair hub.
• Experience troubleshooting network and systems, including connectivity problems, hardware/software malfunctions, or performance degradation.
• Experience in a testing environment such as simulating network conditions, running diagnostic scripts, or validating patches.

• Open trouble tickets, perform initial triage, and provide break/fix actions to resolve network issues.
• Provide end‑to‑end support for issues within defined areas of responsibility and document/track incidents in a ticketing system.
• Respond to customer inquiries and problems; support network activities, including service‑level agreements.
• Perform duties in accordance with documented methods, procedures, and technical job aides.
• Initiate communications between internal groups, vendors, customers, and third‑party carriers and partners.
• Provide feedback on the use of NOC management applications, tools, processes, and procedures.
• Open Notice to Airmen (NOTAMS) tickets via the E‑NOTAM website for outages that impact lighted towers.
• Escalate outage events and/or impairments that are not resolved within a prescribed timeframe.

• Pay: $19.45/hr (fixed).
