As a Payroll Implementation Consultant, you will support clients throughout the full implementation life cycle (Initiate, Define, Build, Integrate, Validate, Deploy and Adopt).

You will work across multiple payroll projects and software platforms, helping clients successfully implement and adopt new payroll systems.

Contribution to Business Growth & Development:
  • Support the successful delivery of customer implementation projects and managed services
  • Continuously develop knowledge of payroll systems, legislation, and emerging technologies
  • Work alongside the Customer Success Manager to identify opportunities for growth or up sell within client engagements
  • Proactively identify and communicate project risks or issues to line managers and clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stay informed on partner software developments
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support or lead client meetings, discovery workshops, and project calls
  • Assist clients in preparing, cleansing, and migrating payroll data between systems
  • Configure payroll systems based on agreed client requirements and configuration documentation
  • Deliver end-to-end implementation activities including discovery, data migration, system integrations, parallel runs, reconciliation, and deployment
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) across payroll implementation projects
  • Provide technical support and respond to client queries during implementation
  • Support clients during the parallel run phase, resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, prioritising workload effectively
  • Attend internal and client project meetings and provide updates on progress and deliverables
  • Advise on configuration options, best practices, and system impacts
  • Maintain awareness of both HR and payroll processes, with a primary focus on payroll
  • Responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive and may evolve in line with business needs and the development of the role
  • Experience implementing or configuring payroll systems across the implementation lifecycle
  • Understanding of payroll legislation and its impact on system configuration
  • Experience working with SaaS-based software solutions
  • Experience supporting or managing project life cycles and implementation processes
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes across multiple sectors
  • Experience supporting project discovery or scoping sessions
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience supporting data migration and system implementation activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate client workshops and training sessions
  • Analytical mindset and willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with clients and colleagues
  • Commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for clients and the wider team at Phase 3
  • Willingness to travel when required, although client travel is typically minimal
