Pay Range: $140,000 – $150,000 USD annually
DescriptionAs the Warehouse Management Application Manager, you will lead the Distribution Center Systems team within our Technology Department, overseeing development, implementation, and optimization of our warehouse management systems (WMS) and related applications. This strategic leadership role focuses on driving operational excellence, system reliability, and continuous improvement across all distribution center technology platforms. You’ll collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and distribution center leadership to maximize supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and mentor the WMS team, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance.
- Set clear team goals, resolve issues, and provide ongoing coaching and career development.
- Oversee release and upgrade schedules, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption.
- Promote continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
- Lead the design, implementation, and support of WMS and supporting systems (shipping, materials handling, cartonization, robotics).
- Ensure solutions meet business requirements, compliance standards, and customer expectations.
- Guide developers and consultants in technical execution, integration (REST/SOAP APIs), and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Plan, initiate, and manage cross‑functional technology projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Monitor project performance, manage risks, and ensure successful delivery within scope and timeline.
- Lead training and change management efforts for new system rollouts.
- Establish and enforce warehouse technology standards, protocols, and KPIs.
- Audit system performance, recommend enhancements, and drive process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Model and promote core company values, including integrity, partnership, and customer focus.
- Assume management responsibility for application teams outside WMS, operating under the same delivery, support, and performance expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent recent experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing WMS solutions for multi‑site distribution operations.
- Proven expertise with Infios/High Jump/Körber WMS (including Labor Advantage), cartonization, and automation solutions.
- Strong background in system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs), technical project management, and Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership in team management, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills.
- Ability to influence decisions and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
- Willingness to take initiative, maintain high accuracy, and adapt to new technologies.
- Experience with autonomous mobile robotics (e.g., Ocado Systems), Pack Size on‑demand packaging, and SAP ERP integrations.
- Prior project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
- Comfort with Office 365, SharePoint, and digital collaboration tools.
- Relevant industry certifications.
- Domestic travel:
Ability to travel domestically 1–2 times a year, including flying by plane and driving a motor vehicle. Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and fulfill the requirements of being a Q Approved Driver. - Physical requirements:
Ability to perform work on a phone and computer extensively. - Working hours:
