Z​/HW Delivery Consultant - Remote

Location: Armonk

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is looking for a remote Z/HW Delivery Consultant.

Duties:

* Help clients install and configure the latest z/HW

* Create/update IODF, Work with HCD;
Understand differences between ESCON, parallel channels, and FICON channels

* Create new z/OS lPARS

* Perform z/OS Software installations, use z/OSMF, implement best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum of 15 years of overall knowledge and understanding of IBM Z processor design, available I/O adapters, and IBM Z physical planning aspects

z/OS:

* Experience with implementation and usage of z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF)

* System Programmer set of skills (ISPF/SDSF, z/FS File system, Unix System Services, RACF, JES parameters, SYS
1.PARMLIB, SYS
1.PROCLIB members)

* Deep skills in z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, High Availability, Storage, Performance and Tuning - Operations set of skills (HMC, Commands)

* z/OS SW installations (z/OS releases, other software using z/OSMF)

z Hardware:

* Experience with HCD and IODF requirements

* Experience with Data Center migrations

* Experience with Sysplex splits/merges

* Experience with Disaster Recovery methodologies

* Knowledgeable on current z Hardware

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
