People Soft Business Analyst

Work Location:
NY State, 110 State St., Albany, NY

Duration: 12 months (with opportunity for extension)

Work Arrangement: On-site work at the location stated above is required for a one-month probationary period. After the probationary period, 50% remote work could be available.

Our organization is undertaking a strategic initiative to replace the existing Control-D software, which is currently used for enterprise report distribution and scheduling. The goal is to implement a modern, scalable solution that improves operational efficiency, enhances reporting capabilities, and aligns with current technology standards. Objectives include:

• Assess current Control-D usage, workflows, and dependencies across business units.

• Define functional and technical requirements for the new solution.

• Identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement during migration.

• Support vendor evaluation and selection for the replacement tool.

• Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and compliance with security and regulatory standards.

• Requirements Gathering:
  Collaborate with stakeholders to document current processes, pain points, and future needs.

• Process Analysis:
  Map existing Control-D workflows and propose optimized processes for the new solution.

• Documentation:
  Create detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.

• Stakeholder Engagement:
  Facilitate workshops and meetings to align business and technical teams.

• Testing Support:
  Assist in developing test cases and validating functionality during implementation.

Six or more years of business analysis experience in at least five of the following knowledge areas (as defined by the International Institute of Business Analysis’ “A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge ? {BABOK? Guide}”):

• Business analysis planning and monitoring

• Elicitation and collaboration

• Requirements life cycle management

• Strategy analysis

• Requirements analysis and design definition

• Solution evaluation

Six or more years of experience in reading and creating SQLs.

Six or more years of experience using an understanding of People Soft architecture and table structures.

Four or more years of experience performing business analysis in any People Soft module.

Four or more years of experience facilitating requirements and design sessions with the end user community.
