The Accessibility QA / Testing project will ensure that all electronic documents comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Section 508, PDF/UA, and ADA Title II/III standards. The scope includes comprehensive accessibility assessments, validation of remediated documents, compliance reporting, and support for audit readiness.
Responsibilities- Perform Accessibility Testing:
Test PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents for compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Section 508, PDF/UA, and ADA Title II/III standards using both automated and manual methods. - Validate Using Assistive Technologies:
Conduct validation using tools such as JAWS Screen Reader, Common Look, and Adobe Acrobat to ensure accurate tagging, logical reading order, accessible tables, forms, and proper color contrast. - Identify & Document Defects:
Document accessibility issues with clear descriptions, WCAG success criteria mapping, severity levels, and actionable remediation recommendations. - Generate Compliance Reports:
Produce audit-ready validation reports that demonstrate compliance and can withstand regulatory or DOJ review. - Collaborate on Remediation & Quality Assurance:
Work closely with remediation teams to verify corrections, ensure SLA adherence, and maintain secure handling and version control of documents.
- Expert Knowledge of Accessibility Standards:
Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Section 508, PDF/UA, and ADA requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply success criteria accurately. - Assistive Technology & Testing Tools Proficiency:
Hands-on experience using JAWS Screen Reader, Common Look, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and other accessibility testing tools for manual and automated validation. - Accessibility Defect Analysis & Reporting:
Ability to identify structural and semantic accessibility issues, map findings to WCAG criteria, and produce clear, audit-ready remediation and compliance reports.
