The Role
SSI Diagnostica Group is expanding its global footprint within vaccine analytics following the acquisition of InDevR, the company behind the Vax Array® microarray platform.
We are now seeking a scientifically strong, customer‑facing EMEAI Field Applications Specialist to help accelerate the adoption of microarray‑based analytical solutions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India.
In this role, you will act as the regional scientific and technical authority on Vax Array technologies, supporting customers in vaccine development, process optimization, and analytical characterization. You will bridge advanced immunology with commercial execution, running demonstrations, feasibility studies, and supporting opportunities in close collaboration with the commercial teams.
You will report to US‑based Chief R&D Officer for the InDevR business unit, part of SSI Diagnostica Group.
What You’ll Do Scientific & Technical Applications Support- Provide pre‑sales technical expertise for vaccine characterization workflows using the Vax Array platform, off‑the‑shelf kits, and custom microarray solutions.
- Support vaccine developers across R&D, process development, and QC functions.
- Deliver virtual and on‑site demonstrations, feasibility assessments, and proof‑of‑concept studies.
- Advise on assay optimization, validation strategies, experimental design, and data interpretation.
- Support regulatory‑relevant discussions (comparability, consistency, stability).
- Represent the InDevR brand and SSI Diagnostica Group at scientific conferences and customer events.
- Feed field insights back to Product Management and R&D.
Solutions Development and Post‑Sales Portfolio Optimization
- Conduct discovery to understand customer vaccine platforms (mRNA, viral vector, recombinant, etc.) and analytical needs.
- Translate scientific requirements into tailored microarray solutions.
- Maintain accurate pipeline documentation in Salesforce.
- Support proposals, technical documentation, and RFP/RFQ processes.
- Work closely with Sales to support revenue generation and account expansion.
- Build strong relationships with pharma, biotech, academia, and government labs.
- Travel across EMEAI (~up to 50%) for training, onboarding, and workshops.
- Ensure successful implementation and adoption of Vax Array within customer organizations.
- Represent SSI Diagnostica Group at regional exhibitions.
- Contribute to the regional commercial strategy.
- PhD/MSc or equivalent in a relevant Life Sciences discipline.
- 3–7+ years in vaccine R&D, immunoassays, analytical development or microarray technologies.
- Hands‑on assay experience (antigen analysis, ELISA, multiplex assays, etc.).
- Customer‑facing technical experience.
- Experience with European markets; fluent English.
- Strong presentation skills with an ability to clearly convey audience‑appropriate technical detail.
- Salesforce proficiency.
- Experience with analytics in regulated environments, mRNA/vectored/protein/conjugate vaccines, and commercial mindset is an advantage.
