Job Description:
- The Citrix / Net Scaler Engineer is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of Citrix infrastructure components, including Net Scaler Client, CVAD, Store Front, PVS, WEM, and Citrix Licensing.
- This role ensures high availability, performance optimization, secure application delivery, and seamless integration with enterprise platforms.
- The engineer will also manage documentation, change management processes, and incident resolution to maintain operational excellence.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Net Scaler Client appliances.
- Manage load balancing, GSLB, content switching, SSL offloading, and traffic optimization.
- Perform health checks, firmware upgrades, and backup and restore activities.
- Troubleshoot network, authentication, and application delivery issues.
- Manage Net Scaler Service Virtual Machine for SDX platforms.
- Monitor and administer instances, capacity, and performance.
- Use Net Scaler Console for orchestration, updates, and diagnostics.
- Administer Delivery Controllers, Machine Catalogs, and Delivery Groups.
- Manage VDA registration, policies, and brokering issues.
- Support CVAD upgrades and lifecycle management.
- Configure and manage Store Front stores, server groups, and authentication methods.
- Optimize user experience, application enumeration, and failover configurations.
- Troubleshoot Store Front performance and connectivity issues.
- Design, implement, and manage Citrix Provisioning Services farms.
- Create, maintain, and version vDisks and manage streaming capacity.
- Troubleshoot target device issues and performance slowdowns.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize Workspace Environment Management for user personalization and resource management.
- Configure CPU and memory optimizations, environment policies, and profile tuning.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade Citrix License Server.
- Manage license files, server communication, and reporting.
- Ensure license compliance and resolve allocation issues.
- Support integration with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SSL certificates, Azure, VMware, and other virtualization platforms.
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure timely problem resolution.
- Create standard operating procedures, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
- Participate in change management, service requests, and incident workflows.
- Strong hands-on experience with Net Scaler Client, SVM, and Console.
- Experience with CVAD, Store Front, PVS, WEM, and Citrix Licensing.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, load balancing, single sign-on, FAS, and certificates.
- Experience with Windows Server, virtualization platforms, and Active Directory.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Scripting knowledge in Power Shell.
- Experience with Citrix Cloud, MCS, and Web Application Firewall on Net Scaler.
- Exposure to monitoring tools.
- Relevant Citrix certifications such as CCE-V, CCP-V, CCA-N, or CCE-N.
