APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER

We are looking for a talented Application Support Engineer for Lucullus®, our software suite for bioprocess development.

Based on the U.S. East Coast, preferably in Boston (fully remote).

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the installation and basic configuration of our software applications on‑site or by remote access to Linux and Windows. You coordinate with the customer and responsible stakeholders for the respective IT infrastructure (OS/Networking/Database) and all the necessary steps to deliver installations. You plan and perform software updates for our customers and handle 1st and 2nd level support issues using our ticketing system (incl.

triage). You support our tests department in the verification of installations and updating procedures.

• Successfully completed an apprenticeship as a computer scientist or an equivalent IT education, with several years of working experience.
• Experience resolving technical issues in complex life‑science lab devices, computers, and network environments.
• Enjoy the responsibility of executing, managing, and coordinating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support tickets.
• Strong people skills, able to establish trust and develop long‑term relationships with clients.
• Comfortable with administrative tasks on different OS (Linux, Windows).
• Preferably basic database administration experience (Oracle Database and/or Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Preferably experience with software‑to‑software integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP, and similar connector frameworks for seamless system interoperability. Willing to travel up to 5% (North America, Europe).
• Independent worker who uses strong problem‑solving abilities in a goal‑oriented way while collaborating and communicating well in international and multicultural settings.
• Experience in (bio) process technology is a plus, though not required.
• Candidates must have the legal right to work in Switzerland. Please indicate your current work authorization status.
