Cloud Solutions Architect - AWS

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our growing IT team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the design and architectural governance of cloud architecture to clients ranging from SME's to large enterprises. This is a client-facing, senior-level role, focusing on cloud migrations and modernization, that requires significant experience and qualifications in AWS.

Bonus points for experience and/or qualifications in Azure Cloud.

• Develop and implement cloud computing solutions using AWS and/or Azure Cloud services.
• Conduct architectural analysis work using TOGAF as the baseline framework.
• Translate IT requirements into clear business cases for executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Defining and governing cloud strategies that are aligned with business objectives
• Provide cloud computing guidance and recommendations to clients based on their bespoke needs. (This is a role focused on solving client problems, not pushing product)
• Implement the Cloud Adoption and Well Architected frameworks to ensure that cloud solutions are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and recommend cloud computing solutions that meet the organization's needs.
• Manage cloud infrastructure projects from planning through to deployment and ongoing operations (architecture governance, not project governance).
• Foster cloud computing expertise both internally and externally to promote and drive the adoption of cloud technology.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent qualifications or experience will also be considered.
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in an IT related role (Development, Architecture, Engineering, etc).
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Professional certifications in AWS Solutions Architecture and/or Azure Cloud Solutions Architecture.
• Deep knowledge of TOGAF, Cloud Adoption and Well Architected frameworks.
• Experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using AWS and/or Azure Cloud services.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business cases for executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Proven track record in delivering successful cloud computing projects, with experience in project management methodologies.
• Experience with Dev Ops and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud security and compliance best practices.
