This role is designed for a highly experienced cloud and platform architect who can shape and guide enterprise-scale cloud solutions. You will work across hyperscaler infrastructures, SAP RISE environments, and complex enterprise landscapes, ensuring that systems are secure, scalable, and maintainable. The position involves both strategic architecture design and hands-on technical validation, requiring strong visualization skills to communicate complex topologies clearly.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to define platform strategy, evaluate add-ons, and oversee migrations while ensuring compliance with technical and business requirements. This is a remote, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and wants to influence critical cloud architecture decisions.

Accountabilities

Define and maintain enterprise cloud and platform architecture, including SAP RISE, BTP integration, and extensibility strategies.
Evaluate and govern Optional Software Vendors (OSVs) and add-ons to ensure compliance with the 'Clean Core' principle.
Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to size, design, and implement large-scale enterprise solutions.
Translate complex cloud and platform architectures into clear diagrams, ADRs, and High-Level Designs (HLDs) for stakeholders.
Support migration and upgrade processes, documenting technical cutover paths and ensuring smooth execution.
Provide guidance on hyperscaler infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP) including networking, security, and storage tiers.
Act as a technical advisor for strategic platform decisions and governance across enterprise projects.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in SAP architecture, with at least one full-cycle RISE migration.
Deep knowledge of SAP S/4

HANA Cloud (PCE) and Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Expertise in platform sizing, large-scale enterprise landscapes, and memory management (HANA scale-out).
Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and storage across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Proven ability to manage OSVs and enforce architectural governance.
Experience creating Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), High-Level Designs (HLDs), and process documentation.
Exceptional visual communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into clear diagrams.
Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
