Business Analytics Partner

Bavarian Nordic Berna GmbH

At Bavarian Nordic, we are strengthening our data and analytics capabilities across Global Operations, and we are now looking for a Business Analytics Partner to help us take the next step. If you enjoy working closely with the business, translating needs into clear analytical solutions, and developing high‑quality Power BI reports, this could be the right opportunity for you.

About the role

As our new Business Analytics Partner, you will act as the bridge between business and IT and play a key role in shaping how data is used across Global Operations. You will be responsible for the full end‑to‑end analytics lifecycle; from understanding the business problem, data validation to delivering reliable, user‑friendly Power BI solutions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the entire value chain, including procurement, logistics, warehouse, customer service, production, master data and operational leadership. Your work will directly support both daily operations and strategic decision making while contributing to a strong, data‑driven culture at Bavarian Nordic. The role blends deep Power BI craftsmanship with close business partnering, by challenging assumptions and ensuring well‑documented solutions.

Key

responsibilities
  • Partner with operational leaders and help improve request intake quality through user stories to understand business challenges and translate them into clear analytical and reporting requirements
  • Lead the end‑to‑end development of Power BI datasets, dashboards, and apps
  • Support data analytics governance practices (leading, establishing and training super‑user network) to reinforce consistency across Global Operations
  • Define and validate data requirements with IT and data engineering teams, including data completeness, lineage, and compliance in a GxP environment
  • Contribute to prioritizing analytical requests based on business value and clarity of the underlying decision
  • Own and maintain the reporting landscape for your functional areas, driving user adoption and being part of building a data‑driven culture in collaboration with Data Transformation Manager
  • Strengthen data culture by collaborating with BI colleagues, strengthening the super‑user network, and supporting standardized reporting processes
About the team

You will join the Global Digital Transformation team, working alongside four colleagues, and be part of the Global Supply Chain organization of 100+ talented professionals across our sites. In this role, you will help shape how reporting develops across the entire value chain.

You will report directly to our BI Analyst Lead. This position can be based in either Kvistgaard, Denmark or Bern, Switzerland, with the option to work from home up to two days per week. A valid work permit for one of these locations is required. Because building trust with both business and IT is essential, we expect a strong on‑site presence in the beginning.

What

you bring

You have solid experience working with Power BI and enjoy combining technical development with close collaboration with business stakeholders. You bring structure, curiosity, and the confidence to challenge assumptions in a constructive and professional way. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and are driven to continuously improve rather than accept the status quo.

  • Extensive experience working with Power BI in a business‑critical or regulated environment
  • Strong competencies in data modelling, DAX, and report design
  • Experience validating data quality and understanding data lineage (GxP is an advantage)
  • Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders and translating needs into analytical solutions
  • A structured, detail‑oriented, and proactive mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full professional proficiency in English (Proficiency in Danish or German is a plus)
Why join us?
  • Play a central and visible role in shaping how Global Operations uses data
  • Gain exposure to the full vaccine supply chain in a global GxP‑regulated environment
  • Influence the analytical direction and reporting landscape across the value chain
  • Collaborate closely with experienced BI professionals and business…
