We’re hiring a Senior Data Science Consultant for our Experian Turkey Analytics team in Istanbul. This is a consultative, client-facing role where you will blend analytical depth with business acumen to design, deliver and scale data‑driven decisioning solutions. You’ll partner with clients, products, and cross‑functional teams, lead complex engagements, and own outcomes end‑to‑end.
Responsibilities- Consult & Translate:
Engage executives and business leads to shape problem statements, define measurable value, and translate needs into robust analytical approaches and roadmaps. - Design & Deliver:
Architect end‑to‑end analytical solutions across the customer lifecycle (acquisition, onboarding, underwriting, customer management, collections). - Model Leadership:
Lead development/validation of predictive & prescriptive models (incl. Credit Risk, originations, pricing, collection, marketing models, Basel, IFRS9, parameter estimation/validation) and champion model lifecycle ownership (from scoping to monitoring). - Storytelling & Influence:
Turn insights into compelling narratives and recommendations that drive adoption and measurable outcomes. - Stakeholder Management:
Build trusted relationships from analyst to C‑level; ensure alignment, transparency, and on‑time, high‑quality delivery. - Thought Leadership:
Track industry trends, best practices, and emerging ML techniques; mentor teammates and raise the bar across projects. - Regional
Collaboration:
Partner with regional teams to bring global capabilities to local needs—and local insights back to the region.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data science / analytics / decisioning, preferably in client‑facing or consulting environments.
- Proven ability to lead analytical projects end‑to‑end and navigate multi‑stakeholder settings with clear impact.
- Strong programming and data prep skills:
Python, SQL (SAS/R/Scala is a plus). - Practical command of ML techniques (e.g., regression, trees/ensembles, clustering, SVMs, neural networks) and model evaluation/monitoring.
- Experience translating complex technical concepts into clear business language and value cases.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Banking Sector Background is a plus.
- Strategy (growth, risk‑return optimization, pricing, portfolio steering)
- Analytics / Data Science (customer lifecycle use cases, decisioning)
- Risk Functions (credit risk, Basel, IFRS9, collections)
- Data / Decision Ops (data management, governance, monitoring, MLOps)
