ResponsibilitiesSystem Monitoring & Maintenance
:
Oversee performance, execute jobs, manage backups, resolve abends, and ensure high availability.Incident & Problem Management
:
Act as the point person for critical issues, quickly assess severity, escalated appropriately, and ensure timely resolution.Collaboration
:
Work with business analysts, project managers, and other IT departments (security, apps, infrastructure).Security & Compliance
:
Implement and enforce security protocols and integrity measures.Performance Tuning
:
Analyze system performance, implement improvements, and conduct regular maintenance and updates.Documentation
:
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and operational tasks.Strategic Planning
:
Participate in planning for upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, communication, project management, strong analytical skills.
Technologies: COBOL, FORTRAN, PLI, z/OS, JCL, DB2, IMS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, FLASHR, ACFII, Mainframe Hardware/Networking,MQ Series, MACPAC, CATIA.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
- Strong programming and debugging skills
- Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be ITAR-compliant and able to provide proof of citizenship.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,400 - $136,300.
Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
