DeQuincy-Based Support Desk Tier I Technician (Jedi, Rebel, Clone, or Starfleet Away-Team Member)

* Must be able to get to DeQuincy in 30 minutes or less
* Must be able to come to Metairie head office for the final interview.
* Restech is looking for a Level 1 Help Desk Technician with
* 2–5 years of experience
* who can operate like a dependable member of the Rebel Alliance and a disciplined Starfleet officer at the same time. This role is based around a client site in
* DeQuincy, LA*, where you may be able to work remotely-from-site while staying ready for onsite missions in the surrounding area.
Your primary objective: handle
* Tier I tickets for remote clients*, while remaining available for local onsite work when the galaxy (or a printer) demands it.
* Responsibilities:
* * Possibly work from our client location in DeQuincy as your base of operations-your “outpost on the Outer Rim,” but with better Wi-Fi.
* Answer incoming customer support requests and drive them to completion like a Jedi finishing training-not “hand it off and hope.”
* Provide Tier I remote support for clients while staying ready to deploy onsite for fixes, installs, onboarding, and hands-on troubleshooting.
* Travel to other client locations in the area when needed-think Starfleet away team: prepared, professional, and effective.
* Document work clearly in tickets and internal systems-captain’s logs are non-negotiable.
* Maintain a security-first mindset-treat every endpoint like it could be carrying a Sith artifact.
* Hard
Skills:
* * Tier I desktop and application troubleshooting (Windows environments especially), with practical experience handling real-world user issues.
* Ability to set up, install, and deploy PCs/laptops and peripherals like you’re prepping gear for a mission.
* Basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS basics)-enough to identify whether the issue is the holodeck or the warp core.
* Familiarity with Office 365 (email, Outlook issues, MFA resets, basic admin tasks).
* Strong ticket hygiene: notes, steps taken, resolution details, and follow-through.
* Technicians must display the following:
* * Reliable and professional customer communication-calm under pressure, clear in explanation.
* Ability to work independently from a client site without needing constant supervision.
* Strong time management and prioritization-multiple tickets, competing needs, no excuses.
* Readiness to shift from remote work to onsite response when needed-mission changes happen fast.
* A “fix it right” mentality paired with good judgment on escalation-know when to call in the senior Jedi.
* Must have:
*
* * 2–5 years
* of help desk experience.
* Must be able to reach
* DeQuincy, LA within 30 minutes or less*.
* Valid driver’s license and current car insurance (onsite calls are part of the role).
* Pluses:
* * MSP experience (you’ve supported multiple client environments and understand the pace).
* Familiarity with Connect Wise tools.
* Experience working from a client site while supporting other clients remotely.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
