EDI Technical Specialist - Sterling Integrator - Remote​/Telecommute

Job Description:

• The EDI Technical Specialist will serve as the primary technical contact for trading partner onboarding and EDI integrations.
• This role involves analyzing business requirements, interpreting EDI standards, developing mapping documentation, supporting implementation, and ensuring successful end-to-end testing and production support.
• The specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integrations and ongoing operational success.

• Act as the primary technical contact for new trading partners during the onboarding phase.
• Conduct detailed meetings to understand and document partners EDI business requirements and processes.
• Evaluate and interpret implementation guides such as X12 and EDIFACT to define integration scope and complexity.
• Analyze partner EDI structures against internal system capabilities.
• Create detailed correlation and mapping documents translating external EDI segments and elements into internal system fields and vice versa.
• Document required data transformations, validation rules, and business logic for successful integration.
• Collaborate with middleware and integration development teams to implement mapping documents and technical specifications.
• Perform end-to-end testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), within internal environments and with partners and business teams.
• Monitor and track golden transactions post go-live, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production incidents.
• Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong expertise in EDI standards including X12 and EDIFACT, with hands-on experience working with X12 files.
• In-depth understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, and FTP/S.
• Experience with EDI integration platforms such as Dell Boomi.
• Working knowledge of SAP, particularly SD and MM modules related to O2C and P2P processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities to manage multiple partner integrations simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work in IST and PST time zones to support global operations.

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience as an EDI Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within IT or Supply Chain environments.
