We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to provide technical support for network communications, specifically for LAN/WAN/Network systems. This remote position, open exclusively to Colorado residents, requires expertise in network technologies and the ability to contribute to the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of networking equipment. Responsibilities include managing and supporting equipment such as routers, switches, wireless access points, controllers, and VoIP technologies.
The role involves recommending network and security design changes to ensure optimal performance across all supported sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for network systems, ensuring smooth operation of equipment and services.
- Assist with the development, testing, and implementation of new network technologies and equipment.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues using OSI Model-based methodologies.
- Recommend network and security design modifications and obtain approval for any changes affecting supported sites.
- Use network management tools, SNMP, and CLI to monitor and manage network performance.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical teams and end users.
- Utilize Service Now ticketing system for issue tracking and resolution.
- CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent knowledge.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network infrastructure components (routers, switches), VLANs, ACLs, management access, etc.
- Experience with troubleshooting network issues, and familiarity with OSI Model troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and end users.
- Customer-service-oriented approach with a focus on efficient and courteous support.
- Familiarity with network monitoring platforms and CLI.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
- This position is remote, but candidates must be located in Colorado.
- Standard working hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST, Monday through Friday.
- This role involves remote work but requires strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
