What You'll Do

* Lead and develop software feature projects within the Cisco Collaboration devices Group, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

* Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.

* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

* Drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment with Cisco's overall technology strategy and product portfolio.

* Engage with customers and partners to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into the development process.

* Leading in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and performance issues.

* Utilize data-driven decision-making to prioritize features and optimize development efforts.

* Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform product development strategies.

* Provide expertise in the development and implementation of the software development lifecycle, and agile engineering strategies across applicable teams and partners.

* Influence architectural decisions with a focus on security, scalability and reliability.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or Masters + 6 years of related experience, or PhD + 3 years of related experience.

* Proficient in programming languages including C, C++, Python, and Java, with hands-on experience in developing software features using these languages.

* Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and delivering complex software projects.

* Strong expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies.

* Strong coding skills in C and C++ for performance-critical and embedded device software development.

* Experience with Python for scripting, automation, and rapid prototyping of software features.

* Familiarity with Java for scalable application development and integration within Cisco's device software ecosystem.

* Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding conventions.

* Experience in governance of end-to-end CI/CD pipeline and release management frameworks ensuring scalable automation and robust deployment strategies for devices software.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

* Ability to influence and drive consensus across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
