Compliance Internship Description

Info Defense is seeking Junior, Senior, or recently graduated cyber security students to join our Fall 2025 three-month Service Delivery Internship. The Compliance Internship is designed to offer interns business and technical exposure in core elements of the cybersecurity compliance discipline including:

• Supporting Monthly CMMC Compliance Reports
• Analyzing Firewall Rule Audits
• Performing Incident Response Exercises
• Governance, Risk and Compliance (including policies, standards, procedures, risk analysis)
• Security Awareness
• Vulnerability Management
• Security Audit and Assessment
• Security Metrics and Reporting

Each service delivery intern is expected to participate in industry-related activities and assist the compliance team with practical tasks.

This internship provides a flexible schedule, but candidates must devote approximately 24 hours per week to successfully complete the program.

Qualifications

To be considered for this internship, the candidate must be seeking an associate, bachelor, or master's degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, or a related discipline, and have had exposure to core information security functions including network and application vulnerability testing, role-based access control (RBAC), security information and event management, and computer incident management. To be successful you must be proficient in Linux and have had exposure to three or more the following security technologies:

• Linux Bash and Python Scripting
• Networking
• Microsoft Windows (including Active Directory)
• Firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and malware protection technology
• Network vulnerability testing
• Encryption Technologies such as IPSEC and SSL
• Network+, CCNA, or Security+ certification (preferred)
• Home office environment and Internet connectivity to enable remote work
• Military service is a plus

Compensation

Info Defense offers competitive hourly compensation for all hours worked. Health, vision, and other benefits are not offered for internships.

Work Location

This is a hybrid work position, and candidates must live within the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Travel

This is a hybrid work position. Interns are not normally required to travel.
