Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Project Manager to join our client-facing professional services team specializing in Amorphic implementations. This role will work directly with public sector customers to deliver sophisticated data and AI solutions using our Amorphic platform. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with exceptional project management skills, enabling them to bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders while ensuring successful Amorphic implementations that meet client needs and expectations.

Travel Requirements

While this is a fully remote position, occasional travel (up to 15% of the time) may be required for critical client meetings or team gatherings. All travel expenses will be covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex multi-phased Amorphic implementation projects for public sector clients from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within budget and on schedule.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timeline development, and budget management for Amorphic implementations.
• Establish and implement robust project management methodologies tailored to Amorphic platform deployment, incorporating PMO (Project Management Office) best practices.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between clients and internal development teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications for Amorphic implementations.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans specific to data and AI solution deployments.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineers, AI specialists, and cloud architects to ensure seamless integration of Amorphic with client systems.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and deliver clear, concise reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring transparency and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Lead and motivate project teams in a remote environment, fostering collaboration and high performance across different time zones.
• Document best practices, lessons learned, and implementation strategies to enhance future Amorphic deployments.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud computing, data platforms, and AI to continuously improve implementation methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• PMP certification strongly preferred; technical certifications in AWS or data platforms highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience successfully managing complex technical projects, with at least 4 years specifically focused on cloud-based data analytics implementations.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) with demonstrated ability to adapt approaches based on project requirements.
• Technical knowledge of data platforms, data engineering principles, and AI/ML implementation processes.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and data architecture, particularly in relation to large-scale data processing and AI solutions.
• Proven ability to navigate technical complexity and ambiguity, establishing clear structures and processes to drive successful implementations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Confluence).
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing distributed technical teams effectively.
• Ability to effectively manage remote and distributed project teams.
• Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing data platforms or AI solutions within the U.S. public sector.
• Familiarity with government compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA).
• Technical background in data engineering, machine learning, or AI operations.
• Experience with Amorphic or similar data and AI platforms.
