Epic Bugsy Implementation
Project details:
A Bugsy Analyst is required to support the implementation of Epic Bugsy, a newly introduced module. This resource will complete discovery, build, testing, and implementation activities aligned with project requirements.
General Responsibilities
Epic Bugsy Implementation (100%)
The Epic Bugsy Application Analyst will be responsible for:
Conduct discovery, system build, configuration, and testing activities related to the Epic Bugsy implementation.
Participate in design, workflow, and operational alignment sessions.
Collaborate with:
Provide detailed project status updates, including progress, blockers, risks, and mitigation needs.
Communicate risks to Application Services and Project Leadership.
Build & Testing Deliverables
Maintain system build and testing progress according to approved timelines.
Ensure successful Data Couriering and adherence to change control.
Engagement Deliverables
Attend and actively participate in system and workflow design sessions related to Epic Bugsy.
Provide go-live readiness and post-implementation assessment reports.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure long-term sustainability and support.

1. Epic Bugsy Certification & Infection Prevention Workflow Expertise
Epic Bugsy is the Infection Control module, so analysts must understand both system build and infection-prevention rules.
Key components include:
Bugsy surveillance rules, alerts, dashboards
Case investigation workflows
Isolation order logic
Organism/lab trigger configuration
Public health reporting workflows
Supporting Evidence:
Epic Bugsy analysts need deep knowledge of infection prevention, healthcare workflows, and clinical informatics, with familiarity and certification in the Epic Bugsy module.

Upgrade readiness and regression testing
Epic module certification (Bugsy, Clin Doc, Orders, etc.)-multiple postings note preference for additional Epic certifications. ()
Epic Data Courier or DC Admin Certification (preferred in some roles) ()
Epic Bugsy is heavily driven by surveillance logic, data interpretation, and clinical regulatory workflows.
Key components include:
Data analysis for infection cases and trends
Understanding clinical documentation and nursing workflows
Workflow assessments and optimization
Regulatory/public health reporting knowledge
Collaboration with Infection Prevention, HIM, Nursing, and Lab teams

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
