This position is a firewall focused Cybersecurity engineer position.

• Applicant must be local to or within reasonable driving distance of the Macon Georgia market. This position is tied to the Macon Georgia market due to the on-site requirements.

• Experience with next generation firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet or Checkpoint.
• Experience with networking technologies such as routing and switching.
• Experience troubleshooting connectivity issues involving firewalls and network components.
• Experience working remotely in an IT support role.

• This position is a primary work from home position with occasional required onsite work in the local market to which the engineer is assigned. Onsite work may occur at night or on weekends as needed for upgrades, replacements, troubleshooting, equipment installation, etc.
• Occasional travel may be required for work in remote data centers.
• Experienced network engineers who wish to transition into a Cybersecurity role are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay Range $41.10 - $61.65

Works with Cybersecurity Engineers to maintain cybersecurity systems through standard operating procedures, processes, and guidelines. Assesses risk and offers suggestions to improve procedures or controls.

Maintains confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the computing environment and enforces the Acceptable Use Policy.

Participates in incident response (CIRT) as directed by management.

Understands what is allowed by policy, how to apply most security controls, and provides guidance to other teammates.

Monitors multiple cybersecurity systems, solutions, or services and identifies potential issues for additional review and recommends potential resolutions while also assisting other teammates.

Adheres to the confidentiality of investigations, incidents, and forensics reviews.

Manages cybersecurity projects with minor guidance, assists other teammates, and provides reporting to management. In some cases, ability to lead cybersecurity projects with autonomy. These may include 3rd party security reviews, DLP solutions, proxies, identifying risk, vulnerabilities, remote access requests, biomedical device reviews, and other projects or duties defined by management.

Provides cybersecurity training and performs presentations to medium size audiences of less than 100 people on cybersecurity topics.

Works with sensitive information and engages with Privacy, the Legal Department, and law enforcement, where directed by leadership.

Understands and has working knowledge of trends in cybersecurity regulatory, technology, and operational requirements.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge in IT or related field.

2-4 years in cybersecurity.

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint. Personal computers, laptops, servers, appliances, smart devices and associated equipment.

Working experience with HIPAA, cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF), PCI DSS, NIST (SP) 800-82r3, and associated methodologies.

Experience troubleshooting, reasoning, and using problem solving skills to offer solutions to reasonably complex problems.

Ability to work individually or as part of a team and to assist other teammates.

Must be able to multi‑task and adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic work environment while producing quality results with minimal supervision.

Technical experience with security technologies which may include, but is not limited to, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Vulnerability Scanners, Firewalls, VPNs, Proxies, Secure Email Gateways, Endpoint Detection and Response, Data Loss Prevention, Exact Data Matching, Medical Device Management and OT/IoT Solutions, risk management platforms.

Working knowledge of security protocols and standards including, but not limited to, SFTP, TLS, SSH,…
