Position: IT Support Engineer / Field Engineer
  • £30,000 to £35,000 + Company Van + Benefits
  • Full Time Permanent Role
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
A growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the South West is recruiting an IT Support Engineer / Field Engineer to support its continued move from break-fix IT support to managed services.

This is a hybrid role, combining remote IT support / service desk work from home with on-site Field Engineer visits to domestic and small business clients. It suits an engineer currently working within an MSP who is looking for career progression, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to influence how IT services are delivered.Key Responsibilities
  • IT support and service desk ticket resolution (remote)
  • Field Engineer visits for installations, upgrades, and fault-finding
  • Microsoft 365 administration (Azure AD, licensing, security, Intune)
  • Proactive MSP tasks including patching, monitoring, and scheduled maintenance
  • Install, configure, and support Ubiquiti Uni Fi networks
  • Support MS Windows and macOS devices
  • Work to Cyber Essentials Plus and IT security best practice
  • Follow documented MSP processes and contribute to service improvement
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience as an IT Support Engineer, Field Engineer, or MSP Engineer
  • Previous experience working within an MSP environment
  • Experience working to ticketing systems and SLAs
  • Strong Microsoft 365, Windows, macOS, and networking knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti Uni Fi networking
  • Security-focused approach to IT support
  • Customer-facing experience (IT, retail, hospitality, or similar)
  • Leadership experience or a clear desire to progress into leadership
  • Full UK driving licence
