Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Cybersecurity Governance Analyst to help develop, refine, and maintain information security policies, processes, baselines, and standards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in security governance, process documentation, and alignment with security frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, HITRUST, and ARS.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting audit activities, developing security governance artifacts, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve security posture across the enterprise.

Top Skills & Requirements

Must Have:

• 4+ years of experience in:
  • IT Security Technical Writing
  • Process Analysis
  • SharePoint Administration
  • IT Audit or Controls
  • Infrastructure Controls
• Foundational knowledge of information risk concepts
• Experience with NIST, HIPAA, HITRUST, and/or ARS frameworks
• CompTIA Security+ certification (required if higher level certs are not obtained)
• Must NOT reside in:
  Illinois, Washington, Hawaii, Minnesota, or California

Preferred:

• CISSP
• Experience with HIPAA/HITRUST/CMS ARS security controls (4+ years)

Responsibilities

Security Governance & Documentation

• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, baselines, runbooks, and procedures
• Partner with SMEs across IT to document processes, system configurations, and security diagrams
• Identify gaps between operational processes and documented processes

Audit & Assessment Support

• Assist with annual and ongoing audit activities
• Participate in the implementation of technical controls and remediation efforts

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with IT, application, privacy, development, and operations teams
• Provide guidance on security requirements and exception-based requests

Security Strategy & Program Support

• Support the enterprise security governance artifact review committee
• Proactively identify security program enhancements and recommend solutions
• Develop reports, business cases, project plans, memorandums, and briefings

• 100% Remote
• EST working hours

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.41/hr.
