Job Introduction

Are you a passionate and experienced Scrum Master ready to make a meaningful impact? We’re seeking a talented Scrum Master II to join our USRM PL Products Tech software engineering organization! As a key driver for our Risk Pricing delivery teams, your influence will extend across multiple domains, supporting a portfolio that plays a critical role in driving our company’s profitability.

This position blends the responsibilities of a traditional Scrum Master with those of a Delivery Lead, beginning with a focus on our flagship initiatives.

Your Mission

Drive Agile excellence for USRM Risk Pricing by embedding consistent governance and delivery standards, enabling frictionless on demand delivery, and providing actionable metrics that improve predictability and product resilience.

About the job Delivery & Servant Leadership
  • Serve as a hybrid Scrum Master/Delivery Lead for Risk Pricing teams, providing day‑to‑day servant leadership to ensure healthy, predictable delivery across program and tech‑enablement work (tech debt, modernization, etc.).
  • Facilitate and coordinate portfolio‑ and team‑level planning activities, including Agile Program Increment planning events (kickoffs, portfolio/train/program retrospectives), and ongoing iteration planning.
  • Identify and remove impediments, manage cross‑team dependencies, and elevate risks to leadership when necessary to maintain momentum.
  • Orchestrate delivery flow across portfolios, ensuring stakeholder alignment and improving overall portfolio performance.
  • Support tech‑enabler prioritization and represent Risk Pricing in architecture/design working groups.
Governance, Standards & JIRA Hygiene
  • Establish and enforce Agile governance and standards for issue tracking and backlog hygiene across Risk Pricing (JIRA configuration, dashboards, ticket templates, pointing practices, definitions of ready).
  • Coach teams on backlog health, refinement practices, and requirements readiness to reduce churn and improve predictability.
  • Partner with other platform teams to align on JIRA standardization and tooling best practices.
Metrics, Reporting & Insights
  • Adopt and operationalize DORA metrics (Lead Time, Deployment Frequency, MTTR, Change Failure Rate) and other team health indicators.
  • Build and maintain reporting inputs for Power BI, ensuring reliable data sources and clear, actionable dashboards for leadership.
  • Run a regular metrics cadence (reviews, retros tied to metrics) to identify improvement opportunities and drive measurable outcomes (OKR/KPI alignment).
  • Translate data into recommendations for process improvements, tooling investments, and resourcing adjustments.
Intake, Prioritization & Centralization
  • Centralize intake processes across Risk Pricing to streamline onboarding and prioritization of new work.
  • Maintain visibility into incoming requests, triage appropriately, and collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to align priorities with capacity and strategic objectives.
Domain Enablement & Onboarding
  • Maintain and enhance Risk Pricing’s domain‑enablement resources: landing page, playbook, onboarding materials, naming conventions, and documentation cleanup.
  • Drive faster onboarding and reduce duplication through clear documentation and centralized knowledge.
  • Coach teams on common practices…
