This will be a remote position, with occasional travel to the team's office in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role will support the team in creating and managing end-to-end generative AI solutions. The team supports AI and digital modernization for both internal use and for external clients, with applications from intelligence analysis to manufacturing optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operational AI Implementation:
Research, develop, and apply machine learning, deep learning, and large language model (LLM) techniques for deployment in operational environments.
* Full Stack Design and Development:
Rapidly design and create prototype applications to demonstrate AI capabilities. Transition prototypes to production by designing and implementing well-architected, scalable software stacks.
* Client Engagement:
Support meetings with internal clients and external customers as a subject matter expert in AI and advanced software solutions, with a focus on cloud technologies and generative AI.
* Manage and deliver on multiple concurrent projects across different customer environments.
* Collaborate across a wide array of individuals at varying levels of technical skills.
* Effective writing and speaking ability to communicate complex strategies and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leaders.
* Ability to drive technical decisions through clear documentation, architecture reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. What you need to have:
* 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in realted field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
* Experience with all of the following:
* Programming languages:
Python
* Containerized development and deployment:
Docker, Rancher, and/or K8s.
* Cloud engineering:
Azure, AWS, or GCP.
* Databases: SQL, No

SQL, and/or vector databases.
* CI/CD pipeline management.
* Dev Sec Ops  design/deployment principles.
* Strong Git workflows, code review discipline, and documentation skills.
* Hands-on experience with current open-source LLMs and ecosystem tools (e.g., model serving, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings).
* Experience developing generative AI products or platforms, including multimodal use cases (e.g., text, vision, audio, document understanding).
* Ability to travel to customer location(s) occasionally with advance notice.
* Clearance:
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Bonus points for:
* Bachelors in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technologies/experience.
* Experience with:
* UI/UX development:
JavaScript (Angular, React).
* Backend development: REST API, web apps, microservices.
* Experience supporting feature development and maintenance for an enterprise-scale application.
* Experience building multi-step agentic workflows and orchestrators using frameworks such as Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Llama Index, Prompt Graph, or custom in-house pipelines. HII is more than a job -…
