AZDOT is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support the CIO’s highest-priority strategic initiatives. This role blends executive-level project leadership with hands‑on delivery and requires strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Lead project proposals and execution for CIO-driven strategic initiatives
• Act as liaison between the CIO and IT Senior Leadership
• Translate technical requirements into business value, ROI, and strategic alignment
• Develop executive-level presentations and briefing materials
• Manage and maintain the project demand intake queue
• Personally lead 2–3 high-priority CIO-only initiatives outside standard delivery scope
• Serve as rapid-response project leader for urgent executive-level issues

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of experience in project coordination and project management
• Hands‑on experience with project tracking tools (Jira, Azure Dev Ops, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies

• PMP Certification
• Arizona State Project Management Certification

• Executive-level communication and presentation skills
• Financial acumen (capital vs. operational expenditures)
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Project planning, coordination, and documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proven leadership and strategic alignment capabilities
