• Develop and implement data protection strategies, including access controls, classification, and encryption
• Conduct regular data risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats to information systems
• Enforce data security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Lead incident response efforts related to data breaches and coordinate with stakeholders
• Mentor and supervise other data protection engineers, guiding them in best practices and methodologies

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on data protection and privacy
• Proven experience with data protection technologies such as encryption and data loss prevention tools
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET
• Experience in managing and supervising other Data Protection Engineers
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities

• 4+ years of experience in open‑source frameworks
• 3+ years of experience with architecture and design
• 3+ years of experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• One or more cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
