Solution architect Savings, Investments

As the solution architect for the Savings, Investments & Bancassurance (SI&BA) and Payments departments you are part of the Enterprise Architecture team of Nationale-Nederlanden Bank. In this role you ensure that our business needs are translated into future proof solutions.

You will continue to develop and align the architecture for the SI&BA and Payments domain. Your work requires a clear vision of our IT landscape and how it supports our customers and business needs. Therefore, understanding our business is also a key aspect of your role. For this purpose, you will collaborate with the product lead, product developers, marketeers and tech leads.

You will also work closely with your colleagues in the bank architecture community. Together, you will secure seamless integration and alignment to enable a uniform and personalized digital customer experience. In addition, you will:

• Design and maintain the technology architecture together with the domain architects
• Understand the business process and the business needs end to end, so you know how these need to be supported by IT solutions
• Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges
• Collaborate with other architects and stakeholders to ensure that the architecture is integrated and cohesive
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend ways to leverage them to improve the company's systems and processes
• Ensure that the architecture complies with industry standards, best practices and NN guidelines

• Salary between €4,827 and €6,895 based on 36 hours/week, depending on your knowledge and experience. It’s also possible to work 38 or 40 hours per week

You are challenged by driving the development of UX-driven architectures in complex, highly-regulated environments. Combining your communication skills with your analytical ability, you know how to convey your solutions and inspire colleagues to deliver the best solution for our internal en external customers. Never losing sight of the bigger picture, you are keen to collaborate to achieve our objectives. In addition, you have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree
• Proven experience as a solution architect, senior engineer or senior business analyst
• Minimum of five years experience in banking, preferably in savings or payments
• Experience in designing and implementing complex technology solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other architects and stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A good command of spoken and written English, as you’ll be working in an international team. Some command of Dutch would stand you in good stead when communication with your Dutch colleagues
