Crown Commercial Service has an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join the Data and Insights team. The role will require engagement with all levels of the business, and with key strategic external customers, to define requirements and embed best practice around data standards and the use of data. The role holder will be responsible for translating business needs into a robust and sustainable data architecture that leverages the full suite of technology solutions to provide intelligence to the organisation.

• Strategy & Architecture:
  Delivering the data strategy, improving data architecture, and ensuring data models, data warehouse structures and API interfaces are robust and scalable.
• BI & Implementation:
  Supporting the implementation of third‑party Business Intelligence solutions, establishing technical standards for interoperability, and overseeing related projects.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  Working with Data Infrastructure and Data Insights teams and operational customers to deliver  Business Intelligence as a service  with excellence.

• Understanding of Data Warehousing administration and development with specific emphasis on Azure Data Warehouse, SQL and the wider suite of Azure tools.
• Understanding of the development and management of API integrations (Experience with Salesforce, Workday and bespoke solutions).
• Experience in delivering against defined business needs and implementing innovative solutions to meet those needs and ensure data quality is maintained and enriched.
• Experience in data model development and system design.

• Appreciation of the Business Intelligence marketplace and the capabilities of BI tools.
