Network Change Management Analyst

We are seeking a Network Change Management Analyst to coordinate and manage network maintenance activities across our fiber infrastructure. This role ensures planned changes are properly reviewed, approved, communicated, and executed with minimal customer disruption.

The ideal candidate has telecommunications experience and a strong understanding of network operations, change control, and customer impact analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and vendor maintenance events
• Review and assess Methods of Procedure (MOPs)
• Conduct circuit impact analysis and validate affected customers
• Identify and resolve scheduling or network conflicts
• Provide proactive customer notifications
• Monitor NMS alarms during maintenance events
• Support field technicians remotely during change activity
• Troubleshoot and clear alarms related to maintenance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Change Management inquiries

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years telecommunications experience
• NOC, network operations, or service provider background
• Working knowledge of SONET, IP routing, Layer 2 switching, WDM, and dark fiber
• Experience with NMS alarm monitoring
• Familiarity with circuit inventory systems (e.g., OSP Insight, Netcracker)
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
• Solid MS Office skills

Preferred

• Service provider experience (2–4 years)
• CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, or Network+
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper (MX/EX), Nortel, Infinera, MRV
• Knowledge of BGP, IPv6, or JUNOS
