Operations - 60% - Dashboarding Expertise
Experience planning and designing a green field VCF. Aria Operations implementation/deployment of VCF 9 (ideal) but would accept other versions of VCF.
Scope:
Real-time Service and Pod Health Monitoring
Service Status and Health Alerts
- Implement real-time monitoring of all services and their operational status.
- Configure proactive alerting for services transitioning into an unhealthy state, prior to failure.
- Investigate and leverage existing vRLI/vROps capabilities for service status data collection.
- Develop filtering mechanisms within vRLI/vROps to identify and notify on critical service health alerts.
- Establish real-time monitoring for Pod deployment status, specifically identifying
- "Crashloopbackoff" events.
- Implement continuous monitoring of vRA Pod status across cluster nodes where available.
- Configure alerts for abnormal Pod states and deployment failures.
- Collect and send vRA/vRO disk space, CPU, and memory utilization data to vRLI/vROps where available.
- Configure, deploy, and operate VMware Aria Automation (vRA)within a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environment
- Design and build service catalogs, workflows, blueprints, and automation pipelines
- Implement governance, approval policies, and lifecycle management controls
The VMware Certified Professional - VMware Cloud Foundation Architect (VCP-VCF Architect) certification validates a candidate's skills in designing VCF solutions including manageability, availability, performance, recovery and security, as well as monitoring, capacity planning, and migration. Job-roles associated with this certification include infrastructure architects and consultants.
