The RoleOur client is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead analytic efforts and provide technical expertise for mission‑critical systems. In this role, you will translate qualitative mission goals into quantitative software prototypes, developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. You will oversee the full analytic lifecycle, from feature vector development and algorithm tuning to validating performance using standard metrics. Collaborating with SMEs and software engineers, you will guide the transition of prototyped analytics into production‑scale, automated solutions.
Base compensation ranges from $170k to $260k, with a compelling benefits package for qualified candidates.
- Experience &
Education:
Bachelor’s + 10 years of experience, Master’s + 8, or PhD + 6. Alternatively, 14 years of experience in lieu of a degree. - Technical Expertise:
Significant background in MLOps and Data Science, including machine learning, data mining, and advanced statistical analysis using R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB. - Leadership:
Proven ability to lead a team of data scientists, delegate responsibilities, and guide the integration of state‑of‑the‑art algorithms. - Core
Skills:
Proficiency in data visualization, feature engineering, and evaluating model performance via ROC curves and confusion matrices.
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph is required. (Must have an in‑scope polygraph within the last 7 years). We are not able to upgrade clearances or accept CCAs. Please note, you must have the required clearance for consideration; under‑cleared applicants will not receive a response.
