Proteomics Field Applications Scientist | Remote in Germany

The Field Application Scientistsupportssales and customers asthe technical product and application expert. The role reports into the Senior Field Application Manager OUS. A successful candidate will have an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial work ethic, strongproteomicsbackground, and excellent communication and presentation skills. This person will work closely with sales, product management, market development, and marketing.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

• Pre-sales meetings,seminar sand product evaluations
• Understand and communicate technical details of QSI’s product line and applications.
• Participate in and lead technical discussions in pre-sales meetings with customers.
• Conduct seminars and present technical datasets to customers.
• Identify customer needs and/or problems, and understand how toprovide solutions using QSI’sinstruments,reagents, kits, and applications.
• Draft experimental plans for customers during product evaluation sand set expectations with the customer about evaluation outcomes.
• Draft and present demo reportsto customers.
• Customer Onboarding and Training
• Manage onsite and remote onboarding of QSI products and software
• Conduct onsitetrainingsof
  
  QSIinstrument, software,and reagent product workflow.
• Technical Customer Support
• Drive instrumentutilizationof current install base through collaboration with sales and detailed project plans with customers.
• Manage Technical Support cases via CRM (SFDC) – e-mail, phone, site visits.
• Determine when instrument repairs are needed and initiaterepairprocess.
• Troubleshoot instrument, software, kit, or application problems and escalate through the appropriate internal channels as required.
• Marketing support
• Participate in trade shows, drive customer advocacy, and provide input on application notes and other technical collateral ideas.
• Mindfully promote product positioning and messaging in all customer interactions.
• Champion customer requested applications to Senior FAS for further support, Market Development and/or Product Management for further consideration.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biology, or related field.
• Masters/PhD preferred
• 3+ years lab experience
• 1+ yearin similar technical support role required
  
  OR combination of lab experience with technical support component
• Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
• Fluent in English and German
• Solid understanding and communication of scientific principles.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented individual .
• Ability to workbothindependently and collaboratively in ateam-oriented environment to achieve company goals and milestones.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking-abilitie s .

Location and Travel Expectations:

• This position is remote and basedin Germany
• This position will require travel not to exceed 75% (3 weeks per month).
• Scheduling ofsite visits will be your responsibility and is subject to approval byFASmanager.
