Senior Test Engineer

Onsite positions, 3 days per week in office; 2 days work from home, Tucson, AZ

Pay: $48-75/hour. W2 Only.

Duration: 1 yr with extension based on client need and performance.

• Looking for a Test Lead, able to lead test teams, pull everything together, do the analysis of defects coming in to ensure quality to assess test executions, etc.
• This is a Class III Medical device. Everything is very regulated.
• Needs a detail-oriented planning kind of person (vs. just an executor of tests at the keyboard)
• Strong communications, solid planning and PM skills are beneficial.
• Hands-on experience testing an instrument would be another key piece, whether it's a printer or actual medical device or other regulated item.
• There is some hands-on testing work on the front end in this position.
• Not expecting person to be deep in the code (hence not as big a focus on C#, delphi, etc.). role is a more project driver than it is a hands-on tester role.

• This individual will serve as the Product Owner for Test, responsible for defining and driving the overall strategy for the testing campaign.
• Define Strategy & Vision:
  Serve as the team leader by translating customer needs into technological solutions and contributing to strategic direction through technical knowledge and creative application.
• Own Backlog & Prioritization:
  Manage, build, and prioritize the team's backlog; detail user stories; and coordinate cross-team dependencies in preparation for Program Increment (PI) and iteration planning.
• Drive Acceptance & Delivery:
  Formally accept and approve all team features and user stories, leveraging acceptance criteria and a defined "definition of done" to ensure quality deliverables.
• Lead Team Processes:
  Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, advocate for built-in quality and customer-centric design, and participate in continuous improvement activities like Inspect and Adapt events.
• Represent & Communicate:
  Present project results both internally and externally, and present complex technical data to diverse stakeholder groups.

• 8+ years of professional experience is required.
• Test leadership experience is required.
• Testing experience especially on some sort of device/instrumentation is required.
• Prior experience in a regulated environment is strongly preferred.
