We are actively looking for anIT Administratorto join our Team!
The main purpose of the IT Administrator is to provide first-line support and provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external users.
Responsible for resolving tasks within agreed timescales, conducting remote and onsite support, interacting with suppliers and ensuring Service Desk calls are addressed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring internal / external customer focus is maintained.
- Troubleshoots hardware and software issues related to internal IT
- Service Desk administration and focal point.
- Administration of the IT systems, network and server infrastructure
- First and second level support for employees and first contact for external service providers.
- Maintenance, installation and commissioning of hardware and software as well as corresponding documentation and budget planning
- Vessel support in IT matters
- Troubleshoots hardware and software issues related to internal IT
- Installs and upgrades computer components and software and manages virtual servers.
- Assigning Service Desk calls/answering phone calls received
- PC Hardware changes / upgrades
- Software installation / de-installation
- Patching / cable management
- Asset tracking and software license management
- Monitors daily backup operations and resolves or escalates any issues.
- Phone, Mobile device system configuration and support
- Provide IT equipment assistance during employees on-boarding, new start setup and account updates, Personnel relocation, printers installation, Staff / user training, IT procurement needs.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of IT infrastructures and cloud technologies
- Fleet IT-experience in a shipping company preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented and customer-oriented approach
- Able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Experienced in working with different cultures and backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. German is a great plus.
