Job Description & How to Apply Below

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Remote Sensing Data Scientist.

Do you have experience translating remote sensing imagery (satellite, aerial) into actionable insights using advanced machine learning and deep learning models?

Let us help you make your next big career move a reality!

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Remote Sensing Data Scientist, you will join a dynamic team to apply deep expertise in remote sensing principles, geospatial analytics, and image processing. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of scientists, IT professionals, and engineering teams to deliver innovative analytics that drive data-informed decision‑making. Your work will involve extracting insights from complex datasets, such as multispectral and SAR imagery, to build and operationalize predictive analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply advanced techniques in image analysis, geospatial analytics, and deep learning to extract insights from multispectral, hyperspectral, and SAR datasets.
  • Build, validate, and operationalize predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement large‑scale pipelines for imagery ingestion, preprocessing, feature extraction, and model deployment.
  • Maintain high standards for data science best practices, including peer review, code review, reproducibility, and version control.
  • Write comprehensive documentation covering problem framing, data requirements, modeling approaches, and validation.
  • Partner with agronomic scientists, biologists, and product teams to co‑develop solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and model performance results clearly to various stakeholders.
Required

Skills & Experience:
  • Ph.D. or M.S. (with 4+ years of experience) in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, Data Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with remote sensing datasets and image processing techniques like atmospheric correction, orthorectification, and segmentation.
  • Proficiency in geospatial tools such as GDAL, Rasterio, and Geo Pandas.
  • Deep knowledge of ML/DL methods applied to imagery, including CNNs, semantic segmentation, object detection, and time‑series modeling.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and libraries like Tensor Flow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and scikit‑learn.
  • Experience with SQL for managing and querying structured datasets.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for scalable data processing.
  • Strong coding discipline, including version control (Git Hub) and reproducible workflows.
Desired

Skills & Experience:
  • Foundational understanding of agricultural systems, crop development, and agronomic principles.
  • Experience collaborating with agronomists or applying remote sensing to real‑world agricultural challenges.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools for rapid prototyping.
  • Strong ability to contextualize remote sensing insights within agronomic workflows like crop health diagnostics and field variability.
Pay:

$55.30 - $79.000 /hr.
