**** About the team and the role
**** An eBay subsidiary, TCGplayer is on a quest to be the most trusted trading card game (TCG) platform — connecting and empowering the hobby community.  Trading card games are a $25B global market that creates community connection through in-person games (Pokemon; Magic: The Gathering; Yu Gi Oh ; etc.). Founded by TCG enthusiasts, we operate a global marketplace, and create tools, technologies and solutions that help small businesses profitably sell TCGs  TCGplayer’s Design Director, you will lead a distributed UX and Content Design organization embedded across multiple product squads.

Our teams partner closely with Product and Engineering in a triad model, ensuring design is integrated from discovery through delivery within a structured product development lifecycle. The organization is primarily US-based and fully remote, with recent expansion to include Content Design in the US and UX Design in our Bengaluru  this senior leadership role, you will set direction and standards across teams, partnering with cross-functional peers to shape roadmaps, scale design practices, and measure impact.

You will oversee UX and Content Design disciplines including information architecture, interaction design, visual systems, and content strategy, incorporating advanced methodologies and AI-assisted workflows where they drive meaningful outcomes.

**** As Design Director, you will define and scale design strategy across a complex, multi-sided marketplace serving hobbyists, sellers, and publishing partners. Your leadership will directly influence customer satisfaction, seller success, marketplace growth, and long-term business success.
