Instructional Designer

8-month limited term contract for an Instructional Designer focused on delivering retail technology initiatives.

• 8-month limited term contract role.

• Remote work available for AB and BC residents, with a well-respected organization.

Due to investment in technology, we are seeking a contract Instructional Designer to help manage retail technology rollouts to stores globally. In this role you will be leading the design, development, and implementation of engaging curriculum that adheres to instructional design models and adult learning principles and meets business needs. You will also be developing multi-medium learning offerings to best suit the needs of our retail audiences and enable scalability (E-learning, instructor-led learning, etc.)

Any functional experience in retail is considered a huge asset. This is a great opportunity to join a great organization on a mission critical program.

This client is a very recognizable Vancouver brand focused on inclusivity in the outdoor environment. They are focused on sustainability, connection and are proud to call the North Shore home. They have office space on the North Shore, but this role can largely be conducted remotely. There will be ad-hoc meetings on site, but no required days per week at this time.

• You have 3+ years’ experience in corporate training and training design in the retail industry.
• You have 2+ years of demonstrated proficiency in working with online course authoring tools.
• You have extensive hands-on instructional design methodology experience.
• You have experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
• You have experience working with Adobe InDesign.
• Any experience developing material for the retail industry would be considered an asset.

This role pays up to $90,000 salary annualized.
