Senior SAP EDI Consultant — Remote​/Hybrid, IDoc & PI​/PO

• Lead the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of SAP EDI interfaces across multiple business areas (SD, MM, FI, etc.).
• Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, and external partners to analyze EDI requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Develop and manage EDI mappings, IDocs, and communication channels (AS2, SFTP, VAN, etc.).
• Configure and troubleshoot SAP IDoc processing, partner profiles, ports, and message types.
• Work with middleware/integration tools (e.g., SAP PI/PO, CPI, Seeburger, Gentran, Open Text) to manage end-to-end EDI transactions.
• Support EDI onboarding for new trading partners, ensuring compliance with customer/vendor requirements and EDI standards (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML).
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues in EDI message flow, ensuring data integrity and timely transaction processing.
• Document processes, develop technical specifications, and provide training to junior consultants and business users.
• Participate in global SAP rollout projects and drive EDI integration strategy aligned with business and IT objectives.
• Ensure EDI systems comply with internal IT standards, security policies, and change management procedures.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP EDI consulting, integration, and support.
• Proven experience with SAP IDoc structures, ALE, RFC, BAPI, and BADI enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4
  
  HANA integration scenarios (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, etc.).
• Proficiency in EDI mapping tools and integration middleware (e.g., SAP PI/PO, CPI, Seeburger, Open Text).
• Excellent understanding of EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12, XML, TRADACOMS) and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working in global environments with multiple business units and external partners.
• Familiarity with API-based integrations and cloud EDI solutions is an advantage.
