** This is a Principal Consulting role at Thomson Reuters focused on leading the implementation and optimization of ONESOURCE Direct Tax solutions for clients. The Principal Consultant will manage full project life cycles, from scoping and solution design to delivery, while also mentoring junior team members and collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Technology teams. The ideal candidate is a strategic, client-focused professional who can serve as a trusted advisor, identify expansion opportunities, and drive best practices across engagements.
** About the Role
*** Partner with Product, Sales and Customer teams to scope projects
* Lead customer engagements, design solutions, manage scope, timeline, and delivery
* Drive expansion opportunities
* Collaborate with internal partners (Product, Technology, Sales) for best-in-class outcomes
* Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices.
* Conduct customer-facing Best Practice Reviews, present recommendations, and scope remediation efforts
* Build quick proofs-of-concept to illustrate future-state potential
* Develop tools, processes, and practices to improve efficiency and profitability
* Work on multiple projects concurrently.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
** About You
*** 10+ years in professional services or similar, implementing ONESOURCE Direct Tax solutions
* Expert-level knowledge in implementing:  + ASC 740 tax provision processes  + ONESOURCE Tax Provision, Work papers, and Data Import  + ONESOURCE Data Flow  + ONESOURCE APIs  + Alteryx, KNIME, Power Automate (or similar) for ONESOURCE and tax-centric automations  + Power BI or similar API-enabled dashboards  + Advanced Excel-based tax workbooks (with Power Query, OData connections, dynamic arrays, Data Validation, etc.)
* Excellent communication skills, with experience working directly with large corporate clients
* Bachelor’s Degree in Taxation, Accounting or equivalent;
Advanced degree a plus
