Enterprise Systems Developer III

Department: Office of Enrollment Operations

Location: Richardson, Texas

Position Status: Regular full-time, hybrid work schedule available after training

Salary: Commensurate with experience, paid monthly

Job Summary

Overview: The Office of Enrollment Operations seeks a software developer with Salesforce experience to join our Enterprise Systems Developer III team. The role focuses on enterprise-level development, configuration, and troubleshooting across Salesforce, Boomi, and related systems.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations may be considered.
  • Minimum qualification:

    ability to maintain security or integrity of critical infrastructure as defined by Texas law.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Certified Salesforce Developer
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with >5 years of technical experience
  • Familiarity with Boomi integration platform
  • Experience with Salesforce Education Cloud, CRM Analytics, and/or third‑party add‑on modules
  • Salesforce developer and/or administrator background is highly desired
Other Qualifications
  • Ability to handle critical infrastructure security requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement feature enhancements via coding and configuration for Salesforce, data mart reporting, Boomi middleware, and other enterprise applications.
  • Maintain the admission and enrollment components of Salesforce Education Cloud and apply timely fixes.
  • Develop new solutions across multiple platforms with a primary focus on Salesforce.
  • Perform software design, development, version control, server‑side scripting, testing, and promotion of changes from lower to production environments.
  • Mentor staff in data transformation, movement, and Salesforce applications.
  • Lead and train a software development team, identify learning needs, and provide opportunities.
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders to assess needs, analyze requirements, prioritize projects, and consult on Salesforce and enterprise applications.
  • Research future enrollment technology strategies, evaluate vendors and automation tools (including AI), and develop a roadmap for software development and system integration.
  • Promote a customer‑focused culture based on ITIL best practices to align enrollment technology services with institutional needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Proactive technical problem solving and implementation of effective solutions.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and project management to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
  • Technical analytical and evaluation skills to make recommendations to stakeholders.
Remote Work Notice

After successful initial training, a hybrid schedule may be available. Employees must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and be willing to work on campus as required. Remote work is subject to review and requires a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement.
