In this newly created role, you will partner closely with the Vice President of IT to ensure the integrity, availability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure. As a senior technical leader, the IT Senior Infrastructure Specialist designs, implements, and maintains core infrastructure and cloud environments, provides advanced escalation support, and contributes to long‑term infrastructure planning.
This role supports and modernizes existing infrastructure while developing and deploying cost‑effective, enterprise‑wide solutions aligned with our business strategy, vision, and goals. You will collaborate with internal teams and hardware and software vendors to optimize service delivery and execute strategic IT initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud platforms, and Microsoft 365/Azure.
- Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, identity modernization, endpoint management, and network upgrades.
- Develop, enforce, and document infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and configuration baselines for networks, servers, and workstations.
- Administer and optimize Active Directory, Azure AD, hybrid identity, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, file services, and identity platforms.
- Manage virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper‑V), including provisioning, performance tuning, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Oversee system patching, updates, configuration management, and software inventory to ensure stability, compliance, and lifecycle control.
- Monitor system performance and capacity, implementing reliability, efficiency, and scalability improvements.
- Support cloud governance, cost optimization, and security posture enhancements.
- Implement automation and scripting (Power Shell, Azure Automation, etc.) to streamline operations.
- Partner with security teams to enforce policies, MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, audit readiness, and incident response.
- Own and maintain comprehensive IT infrastructure, network, and operational documentation.
- Manage IT systems across the organization.
- Demonstrated understanding of operating system support requirements.
- Experience with core platforms including Windows Server (2016/2019/2025), IIS, SQL, and Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, One Drive).
- Proactively manage hardware and software vendors and lead internal teams on IT initiatives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and upgrade of systems and application software.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, with emphasis on Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Serve as senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues; perform root cause analysis and implement long‑term corrective actions.
- Mentor team members, promote knowledge sharing, and model leadership, professionalism, and core IT principles.
