** Compensation:** $50-60 per hour
** Position Summary
** We are seeking an experienced UX/UI designer for a six-month independent contractor engagement who can own the day-to-day design work for a content library/digital resource hub project. Success in this contract looks like delivering end-to-end designs, including user flows, edge cases, and error cases with thoughtful improvements to the user experience, while gaining alignment with key stakeholders.

This role requires a strong foundation in UX and UI principles, the ability to work independently, and comfort collaborating closely with Marketing, Distribution, Product Management, Engineering, User Research, and the Lead Product Designer.

This role will also require the use of the contractor’s own equipment, tools, and software. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining their own general liability insurance and is not eligible for benefits through the Come and See Foundation.
** Key Details
*** 5+ years of experience working in Product Design or on complex web design projects
* Must be proficient in Figma, comfortable working in shared files, and adhering to existing design language
* Experience design for desktop and mobile web platforms
* Experience working in Nuxt framework is a plus
* Strong working knowledge of UI/UX design principles, including interaction design, information architecture, and visual hierarchy
* Ability to clearly communicate design intent and decisions to team stakeholders and organizational leadership
* Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility requirements
* Ability to design with internationalization in mind, including support for English and non-English languages
* Familiarity working with Jira boards for tracking work status and projects in flight
* Availability to participate in project meetings and overlap with a standard 8a–5p CST workday – including regular meetings with the Lead Product Designer and design demos with key stake holders
