Our client, a leading digital marketing agency, is seeking a Director of Digital Media to lead and grow their media team in Phoenix, AZ. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will work collaboratively with the Associate Director of Media to oversee a team of 10 media professionals, guiding strategy, mentorship, and process development. You will be the agency’s storyteller, helping clients maximize their media spend through compelling, data-driven insights.
This role requires deep expertise in paid media—including search, social, and programmatic—along with a holistic understanding of digital marketing. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients, confidently presenting media plans and strategies that align with their goals. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a digital media leadership role, whether at an agency or a major marketing department.

Director of Digital Media (Meta + Google Ads exp req, Agency exp req) Responsibilities
- Build and develop a high-performing media team through hiring and mentorship
- Develop and execute multi-channel media strategies tailored to client goals
- Manage strategy and execution across paid search, social, and programmatic channels
- Lead conversations, presentations, and deliverables with confidence and expertise
- Work closely with the team in-office to stay engaged in agency operations and workflows
- Support pitches and drive performance media opportunities
- Implement effective oversight strategies to ensure quality work and accountability
- Oversee campaign tracking, insights, and reporting
- Enhance agency workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Evaluate and implement industry tools to optimize efficiency and outcomes
- Review and finalize insertion orders to align with agency and client expectations
- Stay updated on trends and apply insights to client strategies
- Provide ongoing and ad-hoc analysis of campaign effectiveness
- Stay connected with local media professionals to attract top talent when needed
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing agency environment
Director of Digital Media (Meta + Google Ads exp req, Agency exp req) Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5+ years of experience in agency digital media management required
- 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience required
- Hands-on experience within high-touch platforms (i.e. Meta, Google Ads, Pinterest, Tik Tok, Instagram, etc.) required
- 5+ years of strategic media planning across digital mediums required
